Students Empowered Career and Professional Development (CPD) program uses a variety of tools and resources. By implementing specific modules, the students learn to assess their personal attributes, gifts and skills and prepare to succeed with a well developed plan for their education and career goals and learn the principles of Building Success on a Foundation of Faith!

Career Exploration Programs
SEI is dedicated to empowering students to rise above our common community obstacles by designing and implementing programs that will give students exposure to career fields they are interested in. The Career Exploration Programs provide platforms for our students to gain knowledge about the “real work” of a chosen career field interest and the not so apparent skills that goes along with a career choice.
Exploration programs include:
- Computer Refurbishing Program (Computer Engineering)
- First Tech Challenge Team (Robotics/Engineering)
- SEI’s Next Top Stylist/Model (Fashion)
Career Education Workshops
We invite professionals to submit presentation proposals that cover a variety of professional development and/or career education topics. The goal of our Career Education / Professional Development Workshops is to allow students to hear information from professionals in the field and gain knowledge about their career interests. Speakers are given a 90-minute platform to give the students an interactive workshop that will share in-depth information about their profession.
Topics of interest include:
- Psychologist / Doctor / Nurse
- Lawyers
- Television producers / Film Making

Students Empowered, Inc. is a faith-based, non-profit organization, that facilitates the successful formation of High School Students in Chicago into adulthood by providing programs that will holistically empower them to overcome the obstacles for success within their communities.
We focus on students overall growth and maturity by implementing a biblically-based program where students assess their personal attributes, gifts and skills and prepare to succeed with a well developed plan for their education and career goals and learn the principles of Building Success on a Foundation of Faith!
